I love Daddy!

Papa had to be away for a while - so Mamma sent him a note - with me as the feature! I know its a little scandalous, but Momma even took a shot of what was printed on my backside for Papa!

We survived!

Cecilia got her two month shots today, and with very few tears from both Cecilia and Momma. It was short and sweet, but Momma was still very happy that Aunt Missy was there for support! The nice technician lady even gave Cecilia these cute band-aid "kisses!"

Working Out!

Cecilia likes to incorporate baby aerobics into her morning routine. She kicks her legs and flails her arms with the best of them!

At the Moss House

A week or so ago, our friends Erin and John Moss had us over for dinner since Matt was away. We had a great time, ate some chicken noodle soup, and hung out! Roxy (their dog) got a big kick out of Cecilia, and I think Roxy was even a little scared of her at times. Cecilia was lucky and got two big kisses from Roxy! It was a real treat to spend time with them. John was touching up on his picture taking skills, as they get ready for Baby Isaac, and he shot these pictures of Cecilia:

Swingin' Along

Cecilia is getting to be such a sleeper! Well, I guess you might have noticed as quite a few of our posts have pictures of our little one sleeping. But she is so darn cute! These I took when she fell asleep in her swing, which is a new thing for us! Momma is all for it, and Cecilia doesn't mind too much either as you might notice.

How does she sleep like this?

I am not sure how or why she does it, but Cecilia sleeps in some pretty crazy positions! I caught it on film tonight:

Papa Comes Home!

We were so happy that this past weekend Papa was able to make it back from Alabama to come and visit his two favorite ladies! He drove about 500 miles one way, over 8 1/2 hours just to see us! We were so grateful for his visit as we missed him a whole lot! The weather was a bit cold, so we stayed around the house mostly. Papa also had a cold and was tired, so we just chilled as a family! We did get to go on a walk on Saturday with Cecilia in the stroller. She is really starting to get used to it! We didn't take many pictures, but here are a few right as Papa was getting ready to leave. Cecilia was sad to see him go, as was Momma.

Cousin Katy knew that we would be sad, so she decided to come and visit us for the afternoon and evening. After a few tears, we had a great time shopping at Old Navy, Famous Footwear, and World Market! Cecilia was a trooper through it all and slept for 2 1/2 hours in her Moby Wrap on Momma. She gave Momma a little present though....her diaper leaked through her onsie, pants, and through to Momma's shirt! Yay for baby poop! EW! We ate dinner from the Causeway Diner and LOVED IT! Then Katy was able to brush up on her future Mommy skills by putting little Cecilia to sleep! Thanks Katy for cheering us up!

Hanging out with Momma!

Cecilia and I were just chilling on Friday night, all excited that Papa was coming home for a visit! Here is a video and some pictures:

Cecilia is 7 Weeks Old!

Cecilia Rose is 7 weeks old today! And thanks to the St. John's Newman Center at the University of Illinois, she has this super cute onesie to wear! It's never too early to be planning for college and the future! Those who would like to donate to the Cecilia Rose Hale college fund can do so by making checks payable to her mom or dad. :)

Pretty in Pink

Great Aunt Laura gave Cecilia a cute Winnie the Pooh outfit for Christmas that our big girl can wear now already! Here are some pictures we took of her! This was also the day Auntie Steph left to go back to Illinois. After Cecilia's nap, we went shopping to Old Navy and the to Panera for dinner. At Old Navy we bought a little coat and hat and mittens (still no thumbs) for our visit to Chicago. It probably won't be 75 degrees there!

Cecilia was looking at Auntie Steph instead of Momma.

A little giggle with little ears!

Now without the jacket.

"Do the twist!"

Is that another chin forming??

Life as a six week old is so stressful.

In our stroller at Panera. She liked it a lot more without the car seat.

"Hey Auntie Steph, can I get some of that bread bowl?"

We're all Smiles!

Cecilia is starting to smile and it is really cute! She responds to her Momma's voice and even talks back every now and then!

Jimmy and Lewis

This Christmas, Cecilia made two new friends. Jimmy is a Texas longhorn, which I am sure you can guess who gave him to her. Thanks Thomas Family Texas! Lewis is a cute teddy bear that was give to us by the Pepper family (Matt's Academy sponsor family), good friends from Colorado Springs. Here are some picture we caught with the three of them!

Papa Leaves for Alabama

Although we didn't want to see him go, Papa had to leave for an Air Force class in Montgomery, Alabama. He will be gone for six whole weeks! We will miss you Papa and we love you!
Momma and Papa before they said goodbye.

Cecilia was out like a light.

Back at home with Auntie Steph.

And the token adorable picture of Cecilia.

Bye Grandma Roseann

After a long visit, we had to say goodbye to Grandma. We had a wonderful visit and loved being cuddled by you! See you in March!

So cuddly!

And precious!

My little lady...

Something is not right with this picture....
That's better.

Now she can breathe and Momma can take Grandma to the airport.

Papa's girl all ready for bed!
