Our Day with Great Gram n' Gramps Hale

This weekend, Carly and I decided to head over to Gram and Gramps' place on the FL Gulf coast. So we embarked for our three hour drive on Saturday morning, stopped a few times to let Cecilia run around, and got to Englewood FL just in time for Cecilia's lunch. We played the rest of Saturday pretty low key - an evening Mass, a meatloaf feast, Gramps and I took a walk in the night air, and just relaxing and talking with Gram and Gramps.

The next morning, we awoke at the crack with Cecilia. Gramps got up and whipped up a big breakfast - eggs and toast and fruit and coffee and the like. We wrapped that up and snuck in a quick walk around the neighborhood - checking out their subdivision's clubhouse - before Cecilia went down for a nap. After she woke again, we packed up and drove to the beach for a little fun. One more nap, and bon voyage for our drive back to Merritt Island.

the Gift Horse

Cecilia got a big box this afternoon - a birthday present from Uncle Ben and Ms. Corey! It was a pretty cool present - a way cute rocking horse. Thanks Uncle Ben and Ms Corey - the horsey is now one of her favorites!

Swinging at the Park!

Cecilia had so much fun at the park that Carly convinced me that we needed to go again. Only this time, there would be swingage.

We had to hunt around a little, but eventually found a park a few minutes from our place that had some swings - actually, a brand new playgym. Pretty nice too. (For those of you that have visited, the playgym was at the Manatee Cove park where we always go to see manatees).

Cecilia Rose had a blast - swinging, sliding, climbing, biffing it in the dirt, eating the dirt, etc etc. We captured some of the fun so that all ya'll could see. Take a look!

Outing to the Secret Beach

After discovering the beaches up on the Cape, Carly, Cecilia, and I decided to take another trip there. So we packed up, forgot to take the cooler, and headed to the beach. Oh well, it was still fun (albeit abbreviated). Cecilia had a blast picking up shells and playing in the sand.

After all that playing, Cecilia was a bit sandy. So she shed some clothes and into the water we went, to clean her up a bit. Here are some pics of her when she's clean again!

A Visit to the Park

Momma and Papa took me to the park today! I got to play on the play gym, and had lots of fun. I got to climb up everything with Papa, and Mamma would catch me at the bottom of the slide. Check me out!

We took a different way home, and we got to walk across the bridge. It was pretty cool, there were lots of birds and stuff.
