Miriam Talking!

Well, it looks like we have a little chatty Cathy on our hands here. Miriam has really started "talking" to us. She has these facial expressions like she really knows what she is saying. I love it!

Voicemail from Cecilia

I was TDY for a few days in CA, and one evening after getting out of some meetings, I got this voicemail.

I Love my Bed!

Since we need the crib for Miriam, we have to get Cecilia a new bed. We were just going to get a toddler bed, but because Cecilia is so tall and will most likely grow out of it quickly, we decided to just go twin bed from the get go. Matt wanted to build it himself and I thought that was pretty cool, so I told him to go ahead. That did require the purchase of a few new tools, which Matt was just broken up about, but it has really turned out nice. We put the new mattress on it to test it out one afternoon.

Cecilia really looks at everything I do with Miriam and I think even considers herself a little mommy. So not only does she nurse her baby, sush her and pat her, she also now wears her in the Baby Bjorn. So adorable! I love seeing her taking care of her baby so well!

A visit with Great Grandma

Great Grandma Thomas wanted to meet Miriam, so we made a trip there on Sunday. She was able to talk with Cecilia and hold Miriam. Here are some shots from our visit.

Oak Lawn Children's Museum

We wanted to do something fun the last Saturday that we were in Chicago, and since it was the Air and Water show downtown, that was out of the question. Instead, we decided to check out the new Oak Lawn Children's Museum. It was SO cool! If I lived in Chicago, I would get an annual pass so we could go back and play all the time! We took so many pictures, we had to put them in this little movie to sum up all we did! Thanks for coming Grammie and Auntie Steph! I can't wait to go again in November!

Grampy's Big Trip to Brookfield Zoo

Since we were in town, Grampy decided that he wanted to go to the zoo with ALL of his grandchildren. We found a day that worked, packed up into the car and headed out. It was a bit rainy, but it worked out and we had a great time!
