Back Porch Playing!

Wow Papa, it looks like a nice day out. Can we go out and play?

Who's the big girl now? I can ride a bike too!

Strike a pose Celia! Pop!

And the stinky face...

You want my feet to go where?

Hi Momma!

A Visit From Nana and Pops

Nana and Pops came to visit us this weekend! It was so much fun! They also brought along Uncle Jim! We were able to sing songs, play toys and take fun pictures. Here are a few!

Mir showing Uncle Jim Noah's Ark of course smoking her play french fry.

This is rubber ducky. You can't tell because all you can see is his bottom. But I assure you, Cecilia wanted to show him off for the camera.

Our attempt to take a picture of Cecilia's pigtails actually staying in her hair. This is the first time in a LONG time that they haven't been pulled out 5 seconds later.

Sharing has been hard lately.
This is the "Miriam is coming too close to what I am playing with" face.
Nice isn't it?

We'll just box her out. That is usually what happens.

Yay Miriam! That's what we say and she claps. It's great!

Pops and Mir "reading" a book. She didn't really know what to think of him yet.

Nana and Miriam

Our attempt at a group shot. It worked...sort of :)

Another try...I think Cecilia and Pops wanted a nap.

Nana and Mir again! Yay!

Story time!

Pops, Nana and Mir

Nana held Mir a lot. She liked that....they both did.

And no visit would be complete without a reading of The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
Thanks for coming to see us! Hopefully we can see you soon!

I will just help myself!

I was making dinner tonight, Cecilia was having a snack so I thought I would see what Miriam would do if I just gave her puffs in her highchair. Sure enough, she just went ahead and went to it!
Such a big girl!

Play Ball!

We had some time before Mass to play with Papa a bit....Cecilia and Papa are showing Mir how to roll a ball. Not sure if she really got it, but there was a lot of laughing!

Roll the ball Cecilia!

Ok Papa's turn!

There it goes!
And Baby Emmie has not clothes. So sorry.

Lenten Dinner

Miss Marcie has been staying with us for a few days while recovering from knee surgery. She has been so much help to Momma, even though her motion is limited :) She decided to take some pictures while Momma was making a yummy Lenten dinner- Tuna Cakes. They are kinda like crab cakes except with tuna. They were SO GOOD! If anyone wants the recipe, feel free to ask! She loves to cook and loves sharing recipes even more!

The largest cheese in our family.

Ear to ear smiles. I think Mir was ready for bed.

Risotto in the back, tuna cakes in front. Salad on the side. What more do you want?

Miss Marcie, self portrait!

And of course the Momma!

Her shirt says it all!

Um, yes. I am still waiting for my appetizer?!?

Stuck

I was unloading the dishwasher and heard Mir making her help-me-I-am-stuck noise. I walked around the counter and this is what I found. She indeed was stuck...under the stool and now trying to reach for toys. Silly girl.

I can almost get it!

But I am under this stool.

Mom, do you need to take pictures too? This is humiliating.

There, finally got it. But this stool is still in the way.

9 Months Old!

I feel like I say this all the time, but time sure does fly by fast! Our little Miriam is already 9 months old! She is growing in leaps and bounds and is just itching to be able to chase after her older sister! She pulls herself up on anything that can support her, and sometimes on things that can't support her too! She has learned all too well that our tile floor is hard. Poor baby! Her hair is finally starting to grow in, and just like her Momma is getting curls in the back. I can't wait to see what it looks like as it gets longer! She crawls so fast now that I need to keep tabs on her at all times. I sometimes "lose" her in the house and need to walk around calling her. I usually find her by the baby laughs I hear. She claps and waves as well, but usually needs some others doing the same to help her out.
She went for her well baby check-up and passed with flying colors! She even had a shot and a blood test and only cried a little bit! She weighs in at 16 pounds and 12 ounces (30th % for weight) and is 28 1/4 inches (75th% for height). She is tall and skinny, just like her sister is. The doctor thinks she is a bit on the light side and needs to add some weight, but overall, Matt and I think she is doing just fine! She eats 3 meals a day as well as nurses 5-6 times in a 24 hour period. Yes, that does mean 1-2 times overnight, but since she eats so well at that time, and is a bit on the small side, I don't want to cut her off overnight just yet. I am still able to fall back asleep pretty well and feel rested in the mornings, so no big problems yet! Whole milk is just around the corner....let's hope she drinks it!

Standing up on the bead maze

Hi Momma!

What does Cecilia have....I want it too!

So pretty!

This is classic Mir....doing this snorty lots of air in and out of her nose real fast thing.

Love you Miriam!

Cecilia's ABCs

This one is just an audio of Cecilia and her ABCs...not bad for a 2 year old!

Cecilia's Dress Ups

Cecilia loves to play dress up when playing with all her wonderful toys.
She especially likes to be a chef...and where would we be without our princess shoes?

Crawling!

Miriam decided that she wants to be a mover and a shaker....and she wants to be able to chase after her sister. So what does that mean? Standing up on just about anything, and crawling like it is her job!

Miriam on the move!

The Really Tall Tower!

Cecilia made an incredibly tall tower out of blocks today while I was chatting on the phone with Matt. It was almost as tall as she was, so I thought I would take a picture before it fell down.

Lookin sassy with the tall tower.

She was so proud of herself!

The final block....TIMBER!
