Sea Creatures

Papa went on a last minute trip to California and though we were glad to have him back, I think Cecilia was even more excited to see what he brought her! Remember those little capsules that when you put them in water expand into some type of creature? Well Matt found those at the BX in Cali and brought back two packages for the girls. They have become part of our bath time routine, as we have been expanding about 2 each night. Who knew a dollar could bring so much fun?!

Pool Time!

The hot weather is starting to sink in and not so slowly either. We totally got jipped this winter as it actually was cold....no 70s and sunny here. Well there were a few nicer days, but we sure did have a winter unlike any they have had in years! Now we go from one extreme to another with hot hot hot! I think it has hit the 90s already and so what do you do in FL when it gets hot? GO TO THE POOL! Our neighborhood has a wonderful pool as many of you know and we take full advantage of it! Here are some of Miriam's first swimming pictures and Cecilia just enjoying every minute of it as well!

Papa and his girls!

Mimi in a swimsuit!

Have I mentioned how much Miriam loves to eat snacks?

Whenever you are ready for more, Momma!

Ring toss!

Miriam loves to watch her big sister!

Big Potty

I am sure Cecilia will hate me for posting this, but she just looks so darn cute sitting on the potty that I needed to take a picture...or two! She is doing really well but still having a few accidents here and there. If she goes a whole day with no accidents we get to put a star sticker on the calendar. I think she likes this more than the M&M's she used to get!
I always tell her though to be careful when she sits on the big potty and make sure to hold on. Silliness on the big potty could mean falling off or IN the toilet. She decided to show that the latter was possible. I didn't get a picture of that, as I am sure it hurt, but I think she learned her lesson!

Mushroom Paci

I know this looks weird, but I think it is so funny! We have a play kitchen for the girls and of course we have a whole bucket of plastic food to go along with it! The kiddos a lot of the time try to eat it as they might think it is real? I don't know for sure....but Miriam has found another use for the food. There are two mushrooms that came with the kit and they have stems and all. Miriam has decided that when she cannot find a paci, that a mushroom with do the trick! I only got one picture of it, and it is kinda blurry, but I needed to show how creative our little lady is! Ha ha ha....
Hey what do you have there Mir?

Mushroom Paci!

Love my baby girl!

Miriam is WALKING!

I knew it was only a matter of time. She started out small, and in a matter of a few days our littlest lady is walking all over the house! Way to go Miriam!

Happy Birthday Momma- a Week Later

Momma and Mimi were in Colorado for Momma's birthday this year, so we decided to celebrate when they got back! We invited Ms. Marcie over for dinner and then sang Happy Birthday to Momma! It was so fun! It was a chocolate cake with white frosting and M and M's all over!
Thanks for making the cake Cecilia and Papa! Momma feels so loved!

Miriam in the Kitchen

Cecilia was still taking an afternoon nap while Miriam and I were having some play time. She was having a great time in the kitchen playing and cooking up some yummy food!

Hi momma! This is how you cut an onion.

Make sure you hold your knife the right way...

And look super cute doing it!

Well, maybe I won't cut anymore, but just smile for the camera.

You know I do love getting my picture taken!

OK, we can make grilled cheese now.

But one last shot for the camera first....maybe.

Secret Beach - Just Cecilia and Papa

Today Cecilia and Papa got to wake up early and go to the Secret Beach (well, minus the waking up early part :) ). Secret Beach is a series of beaches up on Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, where Papa works. Since you need a ultra top-secret, I-could-tell-you-but-I'd-have-to-kill-you, eyes only security badge to get on the Cape, the beaches up there are very unpopulated. Which is a rarity in FL during spring breakage. So we got the chance to go today. The day started out overcast, so we didn't actually get more than our feet wet. But since there are no people at Secret Beach, there are tons of shells, so Cecilia had a bunch to do!

Cecilia's Starfish

Check this one out!

Going through our shells

Some people find the prettiest shells to collect them.
Cecilia finds the prettiest ones so that she can chuck it into the waves!

Sneaking up on the waves

Ahhh!

Safe!

Check the surf. There's gonna be killer waves today, dude!

Acceleration, check.

Whoa!

Our little setup.

The Incredible Adventures of Flat Stanley

Flat Stanley is a story about a boy that gets run over by a steamroller because he couldn't run fast enough. This turns him flat, so that he can have all kind of flat adventures. Like getting mailed to different folks for vacation. Our good friend Mia Pepper and her 1st grade class read the story of Flat Stanley, except theirs was PG so he got flattened by a bulletin board falling off his wall and onto the bed while he was sleeping.

Mia mailed the Flat Stanley that she made to Carly and I for a FL adventure. Here's what he was up to while at our pad...

OK, no more flat jokes, aight?
