Lowe's With Papa

Since we have had our two girls, a lot of people ask me if Matt was ever "hoping" for a boy. I usually just reply with, "I am pretty sure he is happy with whatever he gets, " but the more I think about it, I am sure that he has absolutely NO problem with little girls.

Why?

Because our girls dig in the dirt, play with matchbox cars, and of course, go to home improvement store with their Papa. I can only imagine what will be next :)

Strike a pose at Lowe's!

Keep dreaming there little girl!

Thanks! Have a great day!

We love Lowe's! The people there are SO nice, especially to the girls.
AND they give a military discount!

Greenie Beanies

We have tried pretty hard to do some square foot gardening this spring/summer, but our efforts have not quite been paying off in our harvest. For some reason, our green beans had a rough go and in fact we ended up pulling them out. They were after all browning and dying. But, we did get a small harvest before they met their end.

Cecilia holding up the "plentiful" harvest.

There they are!

"One, two, three, four.....nine ten!"

That's about it. 10 little green beans. We are thankful for them and were glad that Cecilia was able to experience them growing. I guess we'll try again next year!

Cecilia Living Up to Her Namesake

St Cecilia is the patroness of music. Which is kinda cool, considering that Cecilia LOVES to sing. She like to sing the "Mickey Mouse" clubhouse theme, "Twinkle, Twinkle", "You Are My Sunshine", and all kinds of other kids songs. But she also likes to sing her prayers at night. And considering its pretty much the only way we can get her to pay attention, we go with it....

"Hail Mary"

"Be Not Afraid"

"Gentle Woman"

"Hail Holy Queen"

Le Cordon Bleu

This past Christmas the girls got a fabulous play kitchen from GeGe, Aunt Laura and Lou. They absolutely love it and "cook" all the time. Auntie Amy, Uncle Jerry and cousins then got them little aprons and chef hats to dress the part.

Busy Little Bees

Our girls were active today - cooking, dancing, and walking in high heels! Check it.

Bruiser

Cecilia and Papa were out in the yard doing yard work this morning.
She was very excited about pulling weeds, so he gave her a bucket and they had at it.
I wasn't complaining from the cool, air-conditioned house.
Don't you worry, I pulled my weeds later.

And here we have Miriam. She is showing off her black and blue face cut. The girls were goofing around with Papa on the couch (I was out getting dinner). I was talking to Matt on the phone to see if there was anything else we needed. All of a sudden he had to get off the phone right away and I heard crying almost immediately. Mimi's face was the result of a collision on the couch with Cecilia's mouth. Guess who's teeth won? It was an accident. I guess Cecilia fell on top of Miriam and her mouth was open. Moral of the story, if you are falling, close your mouth. You could accidentally bite someone with knowing it.

The face of innocence. Who me?
