Yardwork in Style

You know, there are some pretty rockin' things that come along with living in FL. I mean, we got beaches up the wazoo, we got some sun, we have that awesome sea breeze, a few gators here and there. Oh, rednecks too, felt like KY just up and moved down the road when I moved here...

But one of the things Carly and I enjoy the most is the wide variety of tropical plants and just the outdoor beauty of this area. Granted, we experience it mostly in the context of landscaped yards, but give a guy his moment to talk without interrupting, aight? Carly and I spend lots of evenings walking around the neighborhood just looking at the palm trees and flowers and all, just talking and stuff.

So we were very excited when our landlord agreed to let us do a bit of landscaping in the backyard. Which translates to: I've been busy for a few weekends in a row now, digging out some flower beds, mulching, and pricing different options to get the best deal. I'm one of those guys that would much rather be outside sweating and dirty than inside and sitting around, so it's been fun - and a bit tiring too.

Well, the final product isn't quite ready for public display yet - but its close. Real close. In the meantime, you can enjoy my "get 'er done" attitude, hauling mulch in my faithful Shotty (that's the name of my '98 'stang).

(and for those of you that remember what her other side used to look like - fear not, I still haven't fixed it.)
