Cecilia's First Halloween

Hey! Guess what? Today was my first Halloween! I got to spend part of the day dressed up as a fairy - thanks Aunt Connie!

Here's my tiara. I actually left it on! I didn't try eating it until later.

So how do I get wishes out of this thing?

Pretty lady!

Once Papa got home from work, we drove to meet with the mommy's group that Momma and I are part of. We all got to hang out and play - and even did some trick or treating!

I am a strong fairy with big muscles!

The Hale ladies!

Our little family.

Look Papa, I got a treat!

So cute!

Oh boy! More treats!

11 Months and Going Strong!

That's right, today our little baby turned 11 months old. I can't believe that time is just going by so quickly! She is just into everything and getting around faster than I think I am ready for. She is standing on her own, and starting to take steps. I for sure think she will be walking by the time we get to Chicago for Thanksgiving. Oye!

We did have a cold snap for a couple of days, and yes, those up North, I know what you are thinking. Oh no, cold snap. What was it like only 70? Well, it got into the 40s at night and was only in the 60s during the day. That is cold enough for us Floridians! Cecilia didn't know what to do with herself though as she needed to wear not only long sleeves, long pants AND socks! What is the world coming to?

She was standing, but then realized she wasn't holding onto anything :)

Who is that cute baby?

Big girl in one of her favorite places...watching the duckies!

These are new clothes because she didn't have long pants, at all.
Thanks Target!

Day at Disney

After the character breakfast, Mamma and Papa and I got to got to Magic Kingdom with Katy. It was pretty hooked up.

First, I got to ride a merry go round. I was one of the first ones on, so I got to pick the sweetest horsey ride there was. Check out the mace on this warrior princess stallion.

After that, we all got to go for a little boat ride on Pirates of Carribean. I even got to try out swallowing swords!

Next, I was real tired so Papa and I went to the Grand Floridian Resort, found a quiet balcony, and we passed out. That, too, was pretty hooked up. Meanwhile Katy and Momma went to a Disney employee store somewhere on property.

They eventually got back (something with the store had fallen through) and I woke up.

Finally, we decided to head home. Instead of taking the ferry back to the parking lot, we took the bullet train. This is me going Mach 27 on the train - look how calm I am, drinking my water and all.

Gettin' Around the House

I'm on the move! For the past few months, I've been "low-crawling" - but recently became much more mobile with my mad skills in low-crawling, crawling, scooting, spinning, sitting, and standing. Trouble, here I come!

I loves the ducks. Momma and Papa sometimes feed them bread so that they come close and I can watch them.

I also have some time built into my schedule to pose with my toys. Here are a few of my favs

But my schedule doesn't leave much time to waste - I had to head right into the kitchen to help Momma with the cooking.

As I was on the move, some of the paparazzi snapped these photos.

On the Go! (This one's a good one to watch)

That's me - still on the go!

Nope, no more duckies outside. But I'll let you know when they come back

OK, later for now!

Family Fun in St Augustine

On Saturday, Carly, Cecilia, and I took a day trip up to St. Augustine. St. Augustine is the oldest city in the US, and is a small touristy city, so we took the 2 hr drive to check it out. Not too shabby, it turned out.

First we ate lunch - and took a few photos!

Then we decided to head over to the St Augustine mission - the site of the first Mass in the Americas. There was a small chapel there, where Carly, Cecilia, and I had the chance to say a few prayers together. These pictures were taken near a giant cross that was erected near the mission.

Cecilia had fun fooling around on a gazebo outside the mission.

Then we swung by the visitor's center to get some intel on what else we should go chek out. Cecilia enjoyed taking a break from the heat outside.

We decided to head down the main street in town - which was open only to foot traffic. We wandered through the window shops - most of them made to look old school.

Towards the end of our journey, we decided to stop by Flagler College, just to take a look. The college used to be an old hotel, and had been converted into a small college.

Very pretty - and old.
Cecilia's favorite part, hands down, was a fountain in the central courtyard of the college, which had frogs on the perimeter shooting water inward.

Cecilia was kind of all wet when we pried her off the frogs. She definitely cried hard when it was time to go!
We eventually headed back, time to hit the road. We stopped briefly outside the visitor's center - more fountains.

Not a bad day!
