Family Fun in St Augustine

On Saturday, Carly, Cecilia, and I took a day trip up to St. Augustine. St. Augustine is the oldest city in the US, and is a small touristy city, so we took the 2 hr drive to check it out. Not too shabby, it turned out.

First we ate lunch - and took a few photos!

Then we decided to head over to the St Augustine mission - the site of the first Mass in the Americas. There was a small chapel there, where Carly, Cecilia, and I had the chance to say a few prayers together. These pictures were taken near a giant cross that was erected near the mission.

Cecilia had fun fooling around on a gazebo outside the mission.

Then we swung by the visitor's center to get some intel on what else we should go chek out. Cecilia enjoyed taking a break from the heat outside.

We decided to head down the main street in town - which was open only to foot traffic. We wandered through the window shops - most of them made to look old school.

Towards the end of our journey, we decided to stop by Flagler College, just to take a look. The college used to be an old hotel, and had been converted into a small college.

Very pretty - and old.
Cecilia's favorite part, hands down, was a fountain in the central courtyard of the college, which had frogs on the perimeter shooting water inward.

Cecilia was kind of all wet when we pried her off the frogs. She definitely cried hard when it was time to go!
We eventually headed back, time to hit the road. We stopped briefly outside the visitor's center - more fountains.

Not a bad day!
