Papa's 26th Birthday

Today we were able to celebrate Papa's 26th birthday! It was so much fun! Momma let him sleep in until 8am- what a treat! She was up at about 6:30am with me that morning. We made decorations for Papa, a birthday card, and of course breakfast! It wasn't breakfast in bed, as that would have been tough for me to join in on, but Papa loved sitting at the new table with all of us! Momma made stuffed french toast, sausage, OJ, and Papa's favorite- coffee!

We played around the house for a bit, but then Momma had to get Katy and Aunt Paula from the cruise terminal. We welcomed them back to land and were able to visit for a while before they needed to head out. Aunt Paula had a plane to catch, and Katy had a trip to recover from.

We went to Mass, then came home. I took a long nap, which sounded good to Papa too I guess because that is how he spent the afternoon! When everyone woke up, we got dressed and had an early dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse. Papa had won a gift card at the squadron Christmas party, so it was decided as the place for dinner. We had so much fun! There were so many things to look at in the restaurant that I could hardly eat! I don't think Momma was too happy about that. After Papa finished his giant Margarita, it was time to go.

We stopped by my favorite store on the way home-Target! Spiderman 3 and a few other movies were on sale for $4.75 so Momma and Papa decided to take a look. After picking out a couple of flicks, we were back in the car. I took a bath right away and then helped Papa open his present. I was so tired though, that he put me to bed shortly after. I think he had a great day considering all the phone calls and text messages he received. Thanks to everyone who sent him a birthday wish! He's a great Papa.....we love him!

Papa in a nutshell- sharp object and a good drink!

Thanks Papa, but I'll stick with my sippy.

Papa let me take the picture with Momma!

Gift time! What will it be?
Dunkin Coffee- the key to Papa's heart!
Happy Birthday Papa! We love you!

Grown Up Furniture

Ever since Boston, Matt and I have been on the look-out for a new kitchen table and chairs. Its not that I don't care for glass-top tables, its just that I hate them. Maybe someday we can be friends, but I am just not into them right now. This in addition to the fact that none of the chairs that came with the table were in one piece somewhat pushed out search along. This table served us well in Boston, as we had many friends and family sit around it with us. We will miss our little table, but very much welcome the new table we found!

This little gem was a Craig's list find. I know some people might not look too kindly upon slightly used furniture, but it was a deal and you can take my word for it! It does show a little love, but we figured it was OK for someone else to break it in for us, especially since we are going to most likely be moving around for a while in the Air Force. Check out our new table below, and matching chairs too! I know the fabric on the chairs isn't the greatest, but I will be recovering those this summer with my mom when she comes to visit. Thanks mom! I feel like such a grown-up now as we have gotten past folding chairs and have moved on to starting our collection of "real" furniture!

Table and four of the chairs. It came with six!
Close-up of one chair. Two have arms. I really like the backs!

Table top. I thought it was really pretty.
There is also a leaf that can be added to the table to make room for friends!

First Hair Cut

Momma decided that my baby mohawk swoop just wasn't working for me anymore, especially since I won't keep a barret or ponytail in my hair for more than 30 seconds. Instead of taking me to a fancy salon, we went to House of Hale, the newest, down-home hair cuttery in town. It did the trick, and with Papa's help, I am now stylin some beautiful bags! Thanks Mom!

My very own pool

It was unseasonably warm this Sunday, and we didn't have too much going on, except for some dinner guests. Momma and Papa put my pool out on the driveway to warm up while I took a nap and after I woke up....POOL TIME! It was so much fun! My pool has fishes all over it and I get to splash as much as I want! I have a cute suit and fun toys to play with. It was a great time, until I got too cold and Momma made me get out. But I look forward to the next time the pool can come out!

Hmmm...this water is still a bit chilly.

Maybe I can get used to it.

Ok. I'll give it a try.

Ok, now my diaper is wet. I guess I have committed.

Bouncin on the wall!

Strike a pose little girl!

That was a bit unexpected Papa!

My turtle. His name is Earl.

Close up!

This is a classic Hale face. Tongue out.

Look at my cool pool!

FISH!

Contemplating life.

Crab water tastes yummy.

Watchin the cars go by.

Why thank you, I would love a pool side drink!

JUICE!

Not sure what this face is for.

One more sip!

Teeth Brushing!

Momma and Papa decided that I was old enough to start brushing the 12 teeth that I have before bed. I am not quite sure why, but I can't complain. The stuff they put on my toothbrush tastes yummy! My toothbrush is pink and has lady bugs on it. I got to pick it out at the store myself. I also get a drink of water out of the deal! Sweet!

I love my Auntie(s)

Auntie Steph got this great onsie for Cecilia a while back, and I am pleased to announce that it finally fits Cecilia the right way! It was a bit too big for quite some time! Cecilia was cooperating so I thought pictures were in order. Of course there couldn't be just one......I love all my aunties and can't wait to see you sometime!

Cheese!

So cute!

Mom, this is kinda wobbly.

I think I might get off now.

I am really thinking about it.....

Ok, one more. Love you!

Now can I take a picture?

All you have to do is push the button! See like this....

Moonset

I am so happy that we have sprung our clocks ahead for Daylight Savings time because it stays lighter so much longer in the evenings. When Matt gets home from work now, we actually have time to eat, maybe go for a walk or play outside, and then put Cecilia to bed. However, I am not liking the fact that when I wake up in the morning it is dark. Wierd, I know, and hopefully that will change too, but until then, 0-dark-30 is my wake up time.
Tuesday I was able to catch the moonset. It was really neat that the sun was coming up out the front door and the moon was still slowly sinking out the back door. I am not sure if you can catch it in the picture, but I thought it was pretty.

Grilled Cheese Please!

Cecilia and I were sitting down for lunch the other day, and I thought I should just take a picture of her eating her very favorite in the whole world- GRILLED CHEESE! I think my daughter is going to turn into a piece of cheese. Seriously. I am so glad she isn't lactose intolerant.

Preparing to eat the grilled cheese.

Can't a girl just eat around here, really.

Winner!

Slowly chewing the grilled cheese, savoring every bite.

Now that's what I call a sandwich! Thanks mom!
