Whiskey Challenge

So I was at the liquor store, for some reason or other. And as I was walking out, I decided to pick up some of those small sample-size bottles, for a dose of whiskey challenge. Steph and I handled four of them over the course of a couple nights, and then I had to finish the red stag later on, after she had already gone back to Chicago....

Auntie Steph was watching Miriam while I was taking care of Cecilia....probably changing a diaper or something. Can't remember, but she caught these super cute pictures of Mir!

Hanging out at Home

Now that Cecilia is a little bit older, she is exploring things around the house more, namely opening doors to rooms and closets. She got into Auntie Steph's room and discovered a pair of black flats. She even put them on the right feet by herself! She truly is a girly girl....she loves accessories and shoes! How did this happen????

Walking around the house....

This was the table and chairs that we got from Great Aunt Laura, GG, and Lou for Christmas. It has taken a little while for it to get set up....for various unexpected and unfortunate reasons. But it is now up with dark brown top and chair seats. It is one of Cecilia's favorites as she gets to have snacks and color at the table. Big Bear (courtesy of the Chadwick family) has become Cecilia's partner in crime and spends a lot of time dancing and coloring with Cecilia. I finally got a few pictures....

Crayons stay at the table, well most of the time. Our fridge does have a lovely blue mark on it though thanks to the wanderings of said crayon in Cecilia's hand.

Time Out

When Cecilia does something that she is not supposed to, we put her in time out. It is this lovely place in the corner on a little wooden chair that says "Time Out" on it. We only have her stay there for a minute, but hopefully somewhere this is getting some message across about what she shouldn't be doing. I guess that Cecilia decided that her little people lady needed to be put in time out. I thought it was adorable and had to take a picture!

The Girls

Ms. Mariel left us today...we were very sad. I am sure you can tell by Cecilia's face. Ididn't know we would be taking a picture so she looks SO BEAUTIFUL with wet shower hair pulled back. I am cutting my hair. Stay tuned for photos with new hair.....We also just decided to take some pictures that morning. When will I master the self taken picture? Don't know.

Father's Day with Papa!

Momma was working on Papa's Father's Day breakfast so he decided to hold both Miriam and me! We were sitting on the counter, which I guess you can do when you become a Papa. But it was his special day, so Momma didn't tell him to get down. It was a hot but fun day! We had a relaxing breakfast with Mariel and Auntie Steph, then off to Mass at Divine Mercy. Then home for naps and more relaxing before a trip to the pool. After we came home from the pool, we had dinner on the grill. What would a Father's Day be without meat and a grill? We love you Papa!

Papa and Miriam decided to catch a nap in the evening...they both are doing one of the things they are best at....sleeping!

We were so lucky to have Ms. Mariel come out to Florida for a visit while she was on break for the summer. Even though she had a TON of work to do, she still found time to be with the Hale family! We did lots of cool things including an EARLY morning beach trip. We had a lot more fun since we weren't as hot.

Cecilia Gets Her Toenails Painted

Today, Auntie K and I got to do something dangerous - we put on toenail polish while Papa was away at work! I thought it was really pretty. Luckily, Papa thought it looked nice when he got home and I was allowed to keep it on. But he gave me a talking - something about no makeup until I'm twenty?
