Today, Matt was promoted to a Captain in the AF! To celebrate with him, we all went out to the Cape (Steph too!) and had a short ceremony in the June heat (90 degrees!). It was cool though - his group commander, Col Henderson, re-affirmed his oath of office and then I got to pin his new rank, two shiny silver bars, on to his uniform. The ceremony was held in the shadow of the Cape Lighthouse, kind of signifying the inspiring history of the Cape.
And then we all went and drank beer and ate wings that the guys had put together.
