We knew this day would come....when Miriam would need to get out of the pack n play and Cecilia would have to move to a "big girl" bed. We weren't sure if we should go toddler bed, or just straight to the twin, but we ended up choosing the twin bed. We then needed to decide mattress on the floor, or a bed frame? All these decisions...I am sure you could imagine how much fun I had with this....but we decided on the bed frame. Then, Matt thought, "I can make her a bed." I replied with "Well, Miriam needs to be in a crib before she's one!" Our trip to Chicago came at a great time, as Matt was able to work on the bed. It turned out AMAZING,
especially for his first major woodworking project. I am very proud!
Bye bye little bed!
Papa and Cecilia were both very excited about the new bed!
Bed making its way from the garage (workshop) to the house.
Um, Papa, something is wrong with my bed.
Papa assembling the bed.
New bed!
Look at those pink sheets!
And a PILLOW!
Cecilia loves her new bed.
Doesn't she look so relaxed?
Headboard.
Low angle shot. Only 18 inches to the top of the mattress.
Foot board. Nice woodworking Papa!
Fun on the bed!
I wonder if she will sleep tonight.....and stay in the bed!
Cecilia saying bye to the "little bed," her crib.
