I was visiting the Chadwicks this weekend, and had the chance to take a business trip too! Well, kind of. I work for the 45th Space Wing as a liaison between the Wing and a new commercial launch company, SpaceX. SpaceX is attempting to provide launch capability for about 1/10th the cost of current launches - which, if it actually works - will completely revolutionize the space launch business. Pretty cool job.
It just so happens that SpaceX has a factory in Hawthorne CA (a suburb of LA). So I set up a tour while I was in Cali. No cameras inside, so I just got a few pics outside.

Not too impressive from the outside - but there was some pretty awesome stuff inside. Suffice it to say that they manufacture rockets inside. Now that's cool.
Nice! I didn't know you were on blogspot... I found this while searching for some SpaceX factory pics. You're on the first page of a google images search.
