It seems as if there are a lot of little things to share/talk about and somehow they all met up in this one blog post. All random bits and pieces, but fun things just the same!
1. Birds. I think our pond has become a bird sanctuary of sorts. For some unknown reason, maybe just spring, there have been about a billion birds in our back pond every morning. And not just one or two kinds...I counted 9 different kinds of birds this morning. Who knew?
It is fun to watch, but a little creepy at the same time.
And yes, that is the sun rising. I am up early.
#2. A Cheerio on a Kleenex. Why is this here? This is the Cheerio that I pulled out of Cecilia's nose. I was in the kitchen making my breakfast when all of a sudden I heard, "Mommy Mommy!" I asked Cecilia what was wrong and very clearly she said, "Cheerio stuck in my nose!" I then started to freak out a bit inside, my heart was racing, and I took a look. There it was. Stuck as far up there as I could see....how did I do it? Good old tweezers. I had to take a picture. I was proud of myself and that we had avoided the emergency room. It was really up there!
#3. Sisters snack time. I lowered Miriam's highchair as low as it would go and put her next to Cecilia for snack in the afternoon. Yes, I was hesitant based on the Cheerio/nose incident in the morning, but I am pretty sure that Cecilia is now completely afraid of sticking things in her nose. I didn't freak her out, I think she did it to herself.
Since then, we haven't had fingers, toys,or anything up the nose.
They had a good time. I might do this more often.
#4. Miriam walking. I knew it wouldn't be long after she could pull herself up that walking would be right around the corner. She isn't doing it "herself" , but she is pushing anything that will glide across the tile (which is about anything) and go for a walk. Here she chose the shopping cart. At least it had wheels, but sometimes it got a bit faster than she wanted.
#5. Cecilia "reading" to Miriam. This isn't the first time that this has happened as Cecilia has memorized several of her favorite books and now thinks Miriam should do the same. I tried to get it on video, but failed. This time it worked with a little prompting. I love it! Miriam seemed to really love it too and Cecilia was so proud of herself.
